After the Second World War, the company focused on the production of household appliances. Already in 1950, Karcher developed the first high-pressure washer in Europe with heated water. In 1959, Alfred died at the age of 58, and his wife took over the management of the company. Despite the rather long history of the company, it still remains a family business. In 1957, the company first began expanding into the world market, opening a factory in Brazil, after which it only expanded production and representative offices around the world.
